The Brief

The team behind this online store has been a regular client for many years. They own and operate numerous businesses, many of which we have designed and improved. Our latest project with them involved moving one of their existing websites from a Webflow e-commerce back to a Shopify store and providing a new design with a refocus on product optimisation.

The Design

A quick history less - this is the clients 3rd iteration of their website. Originally, they were on Shopify, however, they felt that their website was too similar to others and wanted to stand out. It our idea to move to Webflow's newly announced e-commerce platform as a way to not only sell their product, but create a store unlike any others thanks to Webflows advanced customisation tools. We worked with the client to create a store that was unique from a e-commerce perspective, having an aesthetic that felt more like it was telling a narrative than selling a product. Whilst the client was happy in the beginning with this design and saw an uptick in sales during the few months, they began to decline shortly after. We decided to move back to Shopify and instead rework their original design for a more modern market.

When building we had two goals in mind. One was to keep the design simple with an emphasis appealing to their target audience with natural, holistic imagery. The other was to drive traffic towards their sale page of their one existing product using shopper psychology.

We chose to start fresh and sourced new material that featured images connoting how you would feel when using the product. This begins with the homepage hero section, which showcases a young woman practicing yoga with ease (one of their key demographics). From there, we went straight into what the product was, how to use and it's many benefits, all paired with prominent calls to action.

The colours we chose also support this holistic-themed branding, such as a subtle beige and cream, paired with a leafy green and striking orange for the CTA.

The Outcome

In the last 90 days since the redesign, the store has seen an increase in visits of 268%, and sales of 322%.

Overall, the client was happy with the new website and thanked us for another successful project. We look forward to working with them again.
